Jewelry Care
Insurance
We advise promptly insuring your item upon its delivery. This can be accomplished through a separate policy or as an add-on to your homeowner's or renter's insurance. Upon request, we will be pleased to give you a receipt for replacement value, entailing what you paid. Loss, loss of the center stone alone, and theft should all be covered by your insurance rider.
Damage Prevention
When performing hand-intensive tasks like going to the gym or doing the dishes, it is advisable to take off your jewelry. Additionally, prior to taking a shower, putting on lotion, misting perfume, etc. We suggest taking off your jewelry before bed to be safe and avoid prongs becoming loose from getting stuck in the linen.
Cleaning
To clean fine jewelry, start by preparing a gentle cleaning solution using mild dish soap and warm water. Soak the jewelry in the solution for a few minutes to loosen any dirt or grime. Then, use a soft-bristled brush, like a toothbrush, to gently scrub the jewelry, paying attention to crevices where dirt can accumulate. Rinse the jewelry thoroughly under warm water to remove any soap residue. For delicate pieces, you can use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the jewelry clean. Finally, let the jewelry air dry or use a soft cloth to pat it dry. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as they can damage the metal or gemstones.
Storage
To avoid scratches and dings, store your jewelry in a safe place where they won’t bang against each other such as a jewelry box or catchall dish. Additionally, keeping pieces in separate jewelry pouches is recommended to prevent damage and to stay organized.
